我正在试图把步频从~160提高到~180。理论上,高步频配合短步幅可以在降低关节冲击的同时提高速度。目前看来很有成效:我上一次50分钟内跑完6英里还是在去年9月份。我感觉到小腿外侧肌肉会较原先更疲劳,不得不以放松鞋带来缓解,但是这些症状今天消失了。

I am trying to increase my cadance from ~160 to ~180. Supposedly higher cadance with shorter stride distance actually lowers impact on joints while achieving higher speed. It seems to be working so far: I haven't finished 6 miles in 50 minutes since last September. I did feel a bit more strain on outer calf muscles and had to loosen my shoe laces, but these went away today.

刚刚 Mastodon 出了点小问题:在升级 icu 到最新版本后, charlock_holmes 0.7.5 无法安装。解决方法是将 '--with-cppflags=-DU_USING_ICU_NAMESPACE=1' 加入 bundler config 。

Mastodon just ran into problem after upgrading icu to the latest version as charlock_holmes 0.7.5 won't install. Solved by adding '--with-cppflags=-DU_USING_ICU_NAMESPACE=1' to bundler config.

下了几天的雨终于停了!我感觉接下来可以挑战更长距离了。

It finally stopped raining! I feel comfortable enough to do longer runs now.

We should have Akinator for large code bases/programming languages, i.e. it will point me to readily avaliable libraries that does what I want to avoid reinventing the wheel.

我觉得一直逆时针方向跑圈导致我的鞋子磨损程度不一致,所以有一边鞋带总是觉得别扭。
